A Nanny is required to provide childcare for 2 children aged 3 and 15 months. Duties will include taking the children to and collecting from Nursery, make a healthy meal, play and interaction time with the children until parents return from work. On 2 days a week (Thurs and Fri) the oldest child attends Nursery in Durham, dad will take and you will need to collect, the other days he attends a local Nursery. You will have sole care of the youngest child all day Friday, the remainder of days are spent at Nursery.   Hours required are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 7.30am-9.30am and again 3.00pm-7.00pm and all day Friday from 7.30am-7.00pm. (total of 26-28 hours a week). This is a job with a difference for a very nice family who need a break every now and then!   A Nanny/ Housekeeper is required to help a family on an 'as and when' basis. The job will entail 'being there' for the children (aged 15, 12 and 10) and for Grandma (77) who also lives with the family. Duties will involve light domestic duties and preparing lunch/ dinner and just 'being there'. Mum is looking for someone who can work 1 or 2 afternoons per week and possibly a morning or 2 to ensure oldest gets the school bus at 8.15am. a Friday or Saturday evening from 7pm-11pm once a month for babysitting Some full days during school holidays (or 2 x ½ days) to look after the oldest (15) who has Downs syndrome so mum can do something with the other 2 children. Every 3 months, a weekend stay so mum and dad can have some time away together. Person must be patient, considerate, sensitive and non confrontational with a knowledge of Downs Syndrome.  The person will need to ensure the children's and Grandma's safety; to interact and be friendly with the children, but be firm where necessary, keeping them out of mischief. The oldest child also needs daily medication.    A driver is not necessary. Position to start as soon as possible.

The hours will be approximately 20hours per week, over Monday to Friday. Some flexibility is required. Due to location a driver is required.
